R&B singer Ne-Yo (real name: Shaffer Smith) was arrested Tuesday in Cobb County, Georgia for reckless driving and for not having a valid license.
Says TMZ, “Maybe he was rushing to the Hair Club for Men. WTFs up with that receding hairline! So THAT’S why he wears hats all the time.”
The Grammy winner and songwriter Ne-Yo is not going to jail! According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, Ne-Yo was sentenced to 24 hours community service by a Georgia judge on Monday after he pleaded guilty to driving without a license and pleaded no contest to the reckless driving charge. The R&B star was arrested in February for driving 105 mph – 50 miles above the speed limit.
Ne-Yo, who was fined $1000, will also have to perform for the Boys and Girls Club and attend a defensive driving class. In other Celebrity related news, Ne-Yo’s album, The Year of the Gentleman, will be released in August.
