Yankees parade: Friday 11 a.m., Broadway – it’s confetti time!

The Yankees will celebrate their 27th World Series title in grand New York fashion – with a “ticker tape” parade up the Canyon of Heroes on Friday.
Derek Jeter, A-Rod and the rest of the Bronx Bombers will be swimming in a sea of confetti and congratulatory cheers on lower Broadway from the Battery to City Hall starting at 11 a.m.
Mayor Bloomberg unveiled the parade plans after the Yanks’ stunning victory last night.
“Congratulations to all the Yankees for bringing the world championship back home to New York City, where it belongs,” said Bloomberg, who watched Game 6 at at Yankee Stadium.
He will present the keys to the city to the champs at a City Hall ceremony right after the triumphant march.
